Christmas tree in Brazil - level 1

There is a big Christmas tree in Rio de Janeiro. It is 279 feet high (85 meters). The tree is covered by many small lights.

These lights make pictures. The pictures show five things. These things are water, air, forests, humanity and Christmas. The picture of water animals means water. Birds mean air. Green color and monkeys mean forests. People mean humanity and Christmas.

This ceremony is very popular. A lot of people come. There are thousands of people. They all want to see the tree.
