Old bomb in Serbia - level 3
Construction workers in downtown Belgrade in Serbia got a bit of a shock on Saturday when they uncovered an unexploded bomb from World War II.
Two workers found the device buried six meters underground, and experts said that the one-ton bomb was made in Germany and contained 620 kilograms of explosives.
Local residents were evacuated from the area before the bomb was eventually dug out and transferred to a military base 70 kilometers away… so around 70 years after it was dropped in World War II, the bomb will finally, safely be destroyed.
Difficult words: downtown (city center), uncover (to find something), dig out (remove from the ground).
