The Dolls Day
Daisia the darling doll got up one rainy droplet falling morning. “I guess I should stay in my house
today,” she disappointedly said.
“Where is the sun?” “I won’t be seeing him today.” “He is hidden under those dark clouds.”
“Perhaps I can invite him into a heartwarming tea party.” She slowly peered outside and called
“Sun, Sun, come please join me today.” “I invite you into my doll house to keep me company on this
dull, dreary, dismal day.”
After a brief moment the sun decided to accompany her for the tea time delight. “Well,” he
said, “This is nice Daisia since today I would have remained all covered.” “I look forward to this tea
treat with you.” “Thank you for your kind hospitality.” “It is my pleasure, “Sir Sun,” replied Daisia.
“Perhaps we can extend an invitation to a tree or two also.”
“Why yes,” said the sun, “I am beginning to warm up to this fabulous idea.” So he slid to the side
of the doll house and gave his special shine to invite two trees to their tea party. “Maple and Fir,”
“Would you like to come on in?”
“Yes of course we shall join Sun and yourself.” “We extend our gratitude to you both to dry our
branches for a while.”
“Your house is very comforting and has taken the chill off from our wind.”
“Please have some of my delicious warm, special tea,” said Daisia.
“I am so elated,” Daisia replied. “Would you Maple and Fir, also Sir Sun like to sit on my comfy,
cushiony soft couch?”
They all said, “Excellent idea, we will snugly wrap ourselves up together.” “This is so securely
nice,” as they all giggled in harmonized unity. Then the laughter began to slightly shake Daisia’s home.
“We must be careful or we could get carried away!” she said. After all the weather is not particularly
perfect today.” As the hours slipped away they all realized one important element was missing.
This cannot be a party without the moody Mr. Moon of today. However, he had overheard the
conversation and laughter lingering close by wanting to become a part of Daisia’s house. He
would not be seen this evening because of the weather and needed come cheering up.
“Please Daisia, May I enter?” “Of course, Mr. Meaningful Moon.” “Leaving you out is unacceptable.”
Maple, Fir, Sir Sun and Mr. Moon all stood up to make a toast to Daisia the doll. “You cheered all of us
up today because we were unable to present our best to you.” “Tomorrow,” said Mr. Sun, “I will
provide warmth to your home and heart, next said Maple and Fir, “We will stay close by to give you a
breeze or two when needed.” Last said Mr. Moon, “Tomorrow I will be full.”
By Daisia’s helping out all her friends, the cheery kindness was also returned to her!
