Tomatoes in Chile - level 1

There is a special event in Chile. It happens every year. It is a tomato fight. People throw 50 tons of tomatoes at each other. Thousands of people come to see. They like the music and the atmosphere. It is a great event.

Some people only watch. They do not throw tomatoes. Other people, however, throw them. The spectators don’t like that.

One man has an accident. Somebody hits him. He falls on the ground. He must stop throwing.

People in other countries like tomato fights, too. There are tomato fights in Spain, Colombia, Costa Rica and the United States.
