Train hits a truck - level 2

Train hits a truck - level 2

A train crashed into a truck which carried metal pipes in Texas, USA.

The truck stopped at a level crossing and broke down. The driver could do nothing so he left the truck and saved his life. When the train hit the truck, the metal pipes were thrown all over the place. The train pushed the truck half a mile before it stopped. One hundred gallons (378 litres) of fuel were spilled.

It took hours to clear everything and reopen the level crossing.

Difficult words: level crossing (place where a railway crosses a road), break down (stop working), fuel (liquid that you buy for your car), spill (come out of a container accidentally).
